# Basic Settings

## Basic Settings

* Go to Configuration->Event->Line-Crossing Detection->Basic Settings

This tab allows the user to modify basic settings. Below is a screenshot of the Basic settings tab:

## Explanation

* **Sensitivity** is the amount of change required to increase the motion detected by a percentage. The lower the sensitivity, the more movement is required to trigger an alarm. 
* **Scene mode**: This dropdown box allows the user to select indoor, outdoor.
* **Direction**: This dropdown box allowes the user to select which direction like A->B, B->A, or A<->B.
* **Restore Default**: Restore the values to default setting.&#x20;
* **Refresh**: Refresh the display of the settings’ value.&#x20;
* **Save**: Save the settings.
